In 2011, I was avidly watch poetry films because I believed in the visual and the orated word being my way into my own inner world of poetry and poetic writing process. Little did I know what kind of doors to the imagination watching artists from all over the world, who I had never heard of before transporting words off the page with bright colouring in animation or moody shading or periscopic to fisheye translucent camera panning and lighting. Poetry on film is a great way to absorb the art of craft of poetry.

Join me for an hour of viewing to re-inspire your own poetry craft. Be in discussion with others around how we can literarily view the world, and see what is possible with the mediums of film and poetry.
