We’reComing Back

And we are. Keep reading :)

Hi Everyone,

You may have been wondering, “What’s happened to Poets Built It?”

Well, quite simply, I needed a break. Poets Built It Online Community is a project with many moving parts, and I had to make some careful decisions to make sure I was not functioning beyond capacity!

I Christmas holiday-ed in London and had a great time reading EcoPoetry, researching for the Hot Poets Wonder, Thunder and Blunder children’s climate change conscious poetry anthology for schools and ate new recipes with Nori seaweed!

I took a lot of mobile photos of the nature in this city. Some very surprising: this desert tree and mushroom ‘city’ are just a couple of them. As i sinkin to the comfort of being more of a EcoPoet in this phase of life I look forward to sharing ecopoetry films made, exploring the natural world in urban environments for my Nature Persists Project and Synergy Slam Poets.

I also had a brain wave for schools work with The Word Forest Charity. I’m patron of this Tree planting. schools building charity based in Kenya, whose work I admire, and to which I am patron. I look forward to working with the Mothers of The Forest more this year.

Now Spring holds the vibrant urgency of a seed kernel ready to root into new soil of creative writing and community building. The focus theme is ‘MOVEMENT’.

What does ‘movement’ mean to you? What approaches to the theme enter your mind on hearing the word?

Poets Built It events to watch out for: the Poets Built It Critique Club and the relaunch of my Writer’s Building Block Masterclass: Reframing the Block. More to come on the Activating The Archive Interactive Memory session!

If you would like to stay up to date with our courses and schedule, which often comes with discount opportunities, subscribe to the Poets Built It newsletter and blog.

That’s all for now.

I look forward to sharing more soon!
