Archive Activation #1 - Russell Thompson & Cherry Eckel - The Archivists Reason Pt.1
Russell Thompson is a well respect librarian and catalogue person at The Poetry Library Southbank, London. He was, however, previously a programmer for Apples and Snakes poetry organisation .
It's early Spring afternoon at The Albany, in Deptford, with the bustling sounds of the Deptford market and its residents creating an atmosphere for a reflective poetry conversation that had all the feels and flotsam I hadn't expected, and which captured the vibrant lives of many of the ordinary folk just like them.
Forty years of poetry, championed by Apples and Snakes, the poetry organisation, has an archive, and, it is Russell who painstakingly compiled and gifted it to the poetry world.
